BOTFA is led by brothers Fred Mutebi and Stephen Kamya. They had a vision for opening a center in their home town that focuses on strengthening their community through support for local artisans (bark cloth and mat making) artisans and farmers. They train new generations in the trade of bark cloth making while creating a wonderful farm for training in farming techniques to help with food security. We are partnering to continue planting palm and bark cloth trees to ensure there is more raw material available for local craftsmen and women.
